  2. We've had a great summer of MAG events here in Yorkshire with the Farmyard Party and Yorkshire Pudding

    Posted on

The Farmyard Party in Helmsley was, as usual, rocking! We've had some great feedback about the BIG Top and the outstanding performances from Hats Off to Led Zep, the Ska Toons, and Broken Angel to name but a few. A special BIG thank you to those who travelled from abroad to get there!

The new Pudding site at Escrick Estate along with some amazing weather meant the event was sold out days before the event. Sorry to all of you that couldn't get in but we have plans for next year to accommodate more people. It seems that Smacked Arse Comedy Show pulled a blinder with a great performances all round - I've not seen so many people cry with laughter for a long time.

BMF Show organisers The Mulberry Group have announced that this year’s Tailend show will have some extra features and some very special guests over the weekend.

“We have supported an epic 4,000 mile coastline ride for Autism throughout the year” said Mulberry’s MD Martin Chick, “and the culmination of this fantastic feat undertaken by Paul Newman, will be a ride into the show on Sunday morning and Paul will be accompanied by our very special guest and NAS supporter, 70’s pop legend -  Alvin Stardust. 4. STAFFORD MECHANICS SHOW SET TO CELEBRATE 20TH YEAR

    Posted on

IT is THE place to be for a weekend of motorcycle sights, engine sounds and petrol smells, and once again one of the UK’s largest and most popular bike shows is gearing up for action as it prepares to celebrate a significant landmark.

The Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show will take place this coming October 19-20, and tens of thousands of visitors are set to descend on Stafford County Showground for the 20th running of this massive event.

Show manager Nick Mowbray commented: “Now moving into its third decade, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show grows in popularity every year and with a jam-packed weekend in prospect, we are sure that 2013 is going to prove to be as big a hit as always.”

As the culmination of the Classic Bike Shows’ calendar, the event will see the seven Best in Show winners from throughout the year come together to determine which can be called the best of the best.

And, with more than 70 club stands and dozens of private entries, thousands of bikes will be showcased with focus on the machines of the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

To further celebrate this era, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show will welcome French racing legend, and 1984 250cc world champion, Christian Sarron as its special guest of honour.

2013 will also mark a first for the event, with gravity-defying stuntman Steve Colley wowing the crowds in the main ring.

“This is the first time we have utilised the main ring at the showground for an attraction such as this,” added Nick.

“The seating there has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, and it will provide a fantastic location for a simply stunning display.”

As well as this superb entertainment, the show will feature its renowned array of autojumble and trade stands, the Classic Racer Grand Prix Paddock and the ever-popular Bonhams auction.

Nick, explaining that 2013 will see Yamaha mark the anniversary of the FS1E, continued: “You literally will not be able to move without coming across a memorable machine from days gone by.

“In a special year for this era of motorcycling, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show is going to be a weekend of celebration for the biker who began on a ‘fizzy’”.

The show takes place on Saturday, October 19 (9am – 6pm) and Sunday, October 20 (9am – 5pm), with advance one-day tickets costing £10 for adults, £3 for children and £9 for senior citizens.

  5. 3rd Vale Royal Classic Car & Motorcycle Show

    Posted on

This event ran for the first time in September 2012 and was one of the most successful first time events we have ever organised in terms of vehicle entries.

Following this first event we also ran in May 2013 and also attracted in excess of 600 classic vehicles for display. Unfortunately on both occasions the weather was not too kind to us with a grey day and cold wind in the morning followed by rain in the afternoon. Again we have had a fantastic uptake of display cars for August and it would be nice if we had the weather to go with the display. We expect to see lots of early pre-1950 vehicles such as Singer, Morris, Riley, Rover and Humber, through to modern day classics such as MG, Porsche, TVR and Mercedes along with BSA’s, Norton’s and Velocettes in the classic bike section.

There will be expert commentary in the arena and a concours competition taking place throughout the day. With in excess of 400 vehicles booked into display, we are anticipating this once again to be an excellent show.

Various clubs have booked stands for this event including the Cheshire Classic Car Club, Jaguar Enthusiasts, Retrobevets, MCNW, Potteries & South and many more.

Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the show but also have a walk around the garden which hosts a plant fair and if they wish have a look round Arley Hall (by separate admission). Catering facilities will be available at the event. Parking is free and dogs are welcome so long as they remain on a lead.
