During the month of October, Cardo Systems celebrated the brand’s ‘Sound Campaign’ with the launch of two exclusive videos with world-renowned musicians – and Cardo users – who have a passion for all things two-wheeled.
The ‘intro’ came from two-time World Superbike Champion and lead singer of band ‘Toseland’, James Toseland, who explains how his life has been a fusion of music and motorcycles and the important role of music throughout his record-holding racing career. See the full video on the Cardo Systems YouTube channel here.
Taking the ‘verse’ was an exclusive video with bass guitarist for Alice Cooper and Beasto Blanco, Chuck Garric, who took time out from his busy US tour schedule to talk about his love for sound and two-wheels. Watch the full video here.
As well as reaching out to Cardo users and musicians known around the world, Cardo took the opportunity to use its platform to raise awareness and promote those without a large following, and bring light to new and relatively unknown artists. Calling out to the #CardoFam across social media, the brand is supporting a number of creators by offering its platform to promote them. Check out the Cardo social channels to see them in action.
Dan Emodi, Chief Marketing Officer at Cardo Systems, comments: “The rumble of an engine. The sound of a friend’s voice. The beat of a favorite song. Sound is fundamental. Being riders ourselves and through our extensive customer research, we understand the importance of good sound, which has led us to form our partnership with JBL and also open our very own ‘Cardo Sound Labs’ in Germany.”
Throughout the company’s journey, from bringing the first wireless Bluetooth device to the market for motorcyclists in 2004 to becoming a global leader in wireless communication systems for powersports, ‘making your ride exceptional’ has been at the heart of Cardo Systems.
In 2018, the brand achieved a world first and entered a partnership with JBL, a leading audio brand from HARMAN, a collaboration that was extended for a further five years in 2021. This was a pioneering partnership that set the tone for a melodic relationship.
In 2022, Cardo opened ‘Cardo Sound Labs’, a full-scale research and development facility in Straubing, Germany, reinforcing the brand’s focus on high-quality audio and cutting-edge technology development. The facility positions Cardo as the only player in the industry with dedicated, fully-owned audio development capabilities. It is home to a veteran team of scientists with over 150 years of cumulative experience in automotive and consumer audio.

For adventure and city: the side bag Endurance Black Welded from ultra-busy 660 g/m2 plastic-coated fabric, the Endurance combines durability with soft handling. Internal reinforcements keep the bag in perfect shape even when partially filled. The roll closure, with which the volume can be infinitely varied, does the rest. As a member of the Waterproof by Touratech product family, it goes without saying that the Endurance is waterproof. The cooperation with the textile specialist Vaude means that the materials used in the Endurance are free of harmful substances and largely made from sustainably produced raw materials. A quality product „Made in Germany“. With a tare weight of only 2.16 kilograms ready for assembly, the Endurance offers a volume of 30 litres per bag. This means that enough luggage can be stowed even for longer tours. Adventure riders have always appreciated the advantages of soft luggage anyway. After all, the risk of injury in the field is lower than with a rigid pannier system, and dents and scratches are also not an issue. But more and more urban riders swear by textile luggage solutions. When meandering through the city, the small width quickly pays off, and such a softback can also be casually slung over the shoulder and taken to the office.
Easy handling thanks to quick release fastener The quick-release fastener automatically engages when the bag is attached and can be unlocked again with a flick of the wrist. In between, it fixes the docking panel - and thus the side bag - to the carrier without play and bombproof. The optionally available locks complete the range of functions and enable locking with other lockable Touratech products. The docking panel is an integral part of the bag according to the sandwich principle. It forms a stable rear wall and ensures that the bag is firmly and comfortably locked to the carrier.
Suitable for Touratech pannier racks and stainless steel racks from the BMW Motorrad original accessories range.

The first accessory products for the brand new BMW R 1300 GS are already available from Touratech. And the range continues to grow rapidly. A brief overview.
No sooner were the first demonstrators at the BMW Motorrad dealers’ than the first selection of accessories for customising the BMW R 1300 GS were available from Touratech. This makes it possible for freshly minted owners of the new GS to fully exploit the potential of their 1300 from the very beginning. The requirements of tour riders were taken into account in the initial edition of the range, as were the wishes of offroad-oriented GS riders.
Protectors for travel and offroad use When it comes to protection, the completely new engine crash bar “Sport”, catches the eye. The contour of this engine crash bar is matched 100 per cent to the valve cover of the 1300 Boxer. Should your machine tip over, the bar absorbs the resulting forces and distributes them neatly. In an emergency, the slider is supported flat against the valve cover. Thanks to the line of the elegant tubular construction, which is nestled closely to the engine, banking freedom is fully maintained. The new concept of the engine crash bar “Sport” reflects the perfect synthesis of functionality and design. Of course, there is also the classic engine crash bar for the R 1300 GS, which encloses the two cylinders like a cage. The combination of 25 x 2 mm stainless steel tubes and three-millimetre thick, three-dimensionally shaped stainless steel sheets combines maximum strength with an unrivalled low weight – and enormous protection. If you opt for this product from the BMW accessories range, you benefit from the reinforcement strut for the original BMW engine crash bar, a valuable addition that significantly improves the protective effect. The bodywork and radiator are reliably protected from crash damage by the fairing crash bar, which is also made of stainless steel tubing. High protection and a spectacular look are combined in the headlight guard with quick-release fastener made of stainless steel, which reflects the x-shaped arrangement of the LEDs in its eye-catching form. Already proven over millions of kilometres of track on the predecessor models, the engine guard “Expedition” made of folded and welded four millimetre thick aluminium sheet is also available for the R 1300 GS.
Customised luggage systems Since BMW offers no factory-supplied rack for aluminium pannier systems for the R 1300 GS, the Touratech stainless steel pannier rack is an absolute must for travellers. The proven basic construction made of 18 x 2-millimetre stainless steel tube has undergone major further development especially for the new GS. Completely new, patented connecting elements and 3D lugs made of three-dimensionally shaped, three-millimetre-thick stainless steel offer greater rigidity than classic designs as well as reducing the weight. In addition, the rack is only 50 centimetres wide, which means that the rear of the GS remains slim and manageable even with bulky panniers. The rack can be optionally equipped with aluminium panniers from the ZEGA Evo, ZEGA Pro or ZEGA Mundo series, each in different sizes and finishes. For mounting a ZEGA top case or lashing a luggage roll, Touratech offers the ZEGA top case rack/ luggage rack made of electropolished stainless steel. The inner pockets for the original BMW Vario panniers or the Vario topcase are a practical and stylish addition, creating order in your pannier and making it easier to transport luggage to your hotel room. These and numerous other Touratech parts for the BMW R 1300 GS are now available in our webshop. And it pays to keep an eye out: the range is being expanded continuously..
