  2. The British Motor Museum has plenty of choice for those looking for a gift or special day out for Father’s Day on Sunday 18 June. Those visiting the Museum on Father’s Day itself, can enjoy the spectacle of 500 vintage and veteran motorcycles at the annual Vintage Motor Cycle Club's Banbury Run. It’s the biggest gathering of motorcycles and three-wheelers produced before 1931 and makes for a wonderful spectacle.

    The museum has taken the decision to hold its 2023 entry prices at 2022 rates. Entry is just £40 for a family in advance or £44 on the day, £14.50 for adults in advance or £16 on the day, £12.50 for concessions in advance or £14 on the day, £9 for children (5-16 years) in advance or £10 on the day and under 5s are FREE. There is also the option to Gift Aid or donate your entry fee and get an Annual Pass in return, at no extra cost.

     

     

  3. Cardo Systems, a leading provider of wireless communication systems for motorcycle riders, Outdoor and Off-Road Vehicles (ORV) has announced today its acquisition of Riser, based in Vienna Austria, a popular motorcycle navigation app with an array of social features.

    This acquisition will bring together the strengths of both companies, providing riders with a comprehensive range of communication, social and navigation solutions.

    Riser and Cardo will be working collaboratively. Initially, the app will operate as it currently does, and gradually, the app will develop into an app represented by both companies.

    The acquisition will allow Cardo to expand its reach beyond traditional communication systems and offer riders an all-in-one communication, navigation, and social networking solution.

    “We are excited to join forces with Riser, which has created an innovative motorcycle app that enhances the riding experience,” said Cardo Systems CEO Alon Lumbroso. “This acquisition will enable us to provide our customers with an even wider range of solutions, including navigation, community, and safety, that meet their evolving needs.”

The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) campaigns to protect and promote the interests and rights of all riders, from learner to advanced and, having already delivered two successful public meetings aimed at raising the profile of the fight against motorcycle theft in Gillingham, Kent, and Birmingham earlier this year, with riders given the chance to hold the Kent and West Midlands police forces to account, the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) is holding a public “hustings” type meeting at the Ace from 6pm on the evening of Wednesday 14th June 2023

    Whether you're keen to make the switch or just curious about electric motorcycles, Zero's Experience Electric tour gives you a chance to try out one of the company's all-electric motorcycles and to ask the experts any questions you may have.

    The free experience days are designed to give motorcyclists an opportunity to try out a fully-electric motorcycle in a ‘no-obligation’ environment, offering a short guided demo ride and a chance to speak with Zero’s experts and discuss all aspects of electric motorcycling. The dates will include a wide selection of models from the Zero Motorcycles range, including the brand new 2023 DSR/X, the fully-faired SR/S and the A1 compatible FXE and DS.
