  1. The brand new Destino Touring GTX is specifically tailored to meet the demands of touring. This motorcycle boot, equipped with a high-quality Gore-Tex membrane, combines functionality with maximum comfort.

Relentless rain on motorways, heat in cities, frosty temperatures at the end of the season – tour riders with a passion for being on the road are exposed to a wide range of weather conditions throughout the year. Versatility is therefore key when it comes to footwear for frequent riders with high expectations. And then there's a whole bunch of other factors. A good touring boot must be dependable. It should never become an instrument of torture during a longer sightseeing tour on foot and it must still be a companion with whom it is a pleasure to be seen, even after many years of unremitting use.

    Bundled technologies for maximum comfort

Touratech's answer to this complex catalogue of requirements is: Destino Touring GTX. This new touring boot relies on the Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane. This high-tech solution keeps feet dry even during prolonged precipitation and features particularly efficient breathability at the same time. Even at high outside temperatures, the microporous membrane ensures reliable water vapour transport to the outside.

Anatomically shaped Ortholite insoles form a comfortable footbed and support the feel-good climate in the boot through their breathability.

If a longer walk is on the agenda, the Destino Touring GTX will delight you with its grippy outsole made of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA). This is characterised by outstanding damping values and excellent foot rolling comfort. A further feature geared toward providing maximum wearing comfort is the accordion stretch insert, which ensures that the Destino Touring GTX fits comfortably.

Protection functions at the highest level

Along with all the comfort, a motorcycle boot must also be safe. And the Destino Touring GTX makes no concessions in this respect either. A polypropylene midsole with integrated reinforcement protects the foot from twisting. Heel and ankle shells not only provide support but also, in combination with the robust toe cap, protect the foot from external impact. The Touring GTX impressively demonstrated its high level of protection during the certification process in accordance with the EN 13634-2017 Level 2 | 1 | 2 | 2 standard.

Detailed solutions from practical experience for practical use

Numerous thoughtful details such as the integrated gear shift pad, the reflective inserts in the heel area, the generous zip cover and the loop with which this boot can be easily pulled on underline the Destino Touring GTX's high suitability for everyday use.

The Destino Touring GTX was developed in cooperation with REV'IT!, the world-renowned manufacturer of premium rider equipment. Extensive experience gained with the high-end Destino Ultimate GTX boot has also been incorporated into the concept of the Touring GTX.

In addition to top ratings for comfort and protection, the Touring GTX also looks strikingly good with its innovative material mix of leather, Hypalon and rubber highlighted by the yellow accents. Top quality and cool look Made in Europe.

The Destino Touring GTX is available in ten sizes from 39 to 48. Item no.: 500-3639 ff., Price: €319.90.

  3. With its synthesis of precision craftsmanship and ergonomic perfection, the Touratech comfort seat for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure ensures a relaxed riding experience on long distance trips, off-road and in everyday life.

A super-powerful V-twin, an indestructible suspension system and large luggage capacity – the KTM 1290 Super Adventure is made for epic rides. Optimal sitting comfort is, of course, a must because every adventure rider wants to get off their bike with a smile on their face, even after hours of riding.

That is the Touratech comfort seat's raison d'être. From shell to cover, this seat, manufactured with the highest craftsmanship, has been thought through down to the smallest detail. This starts with the foam core, for which no standard material is used. Depending on the model and the thickness of the padding, the specialists at Touratech's manufacturing partner, Crew68 in Murnau, Upper Bavaria, make precise adjustments to the firmness of the foam by individually dosing the components.

    Model-specific seat core

After a careful analysis of the standard seat, the perfect shape of the foam core was determined in elaborate tests. All the weaknesses of the original were systematically eliminated. This included any annoying edges as well as any sub-optimal inclination of the seat surface. Like all Touratech comfort seats, the seat for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure has a precisely balanced angle of inclination that supports an upright riding position. By means of the seat surface design, the Touratech developers have managed to solve the annoying problem of slipping forward and to provide relief for the rider's coccyx with the typical groove. The reduced inner leg curve, in comparison to the original design, is particularly rider-friendly. It allows the rider's feet to reach the ground more easily while the seat height remains the same.

Seat cover with Fresh Touch technology

Touratech uses a particularly high-quality, bi-elastic cover material with Fresh Touch technology as standard for the comfort seats. The special finish of the material causes increased reflection of sunlight, which noticeably counteracts the heating up of the seat surface.

The seams of the cover have been carefully positioned to ensure that high pressure areas are left free. And unlike many manufacturers, Touratech tapes the inside of the seams so that no water can penetrate the seat core.

As befits a sporty adventure bike, the comfort seat for the 1290 is a one-piece design. It is supplied complete with shell, bypassing any time-consuming replacement procedure. And last but not least, the seams shine in powerful orange, paying homage to the KTM corporate colour.

The Touratech comfort seat for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure is available in three heights. Item no. 373-5962 onwards

  4. Celebrating the great Giacomo Agostini, winner of 122 motorcycling Grands Prix on his way to 15 world titles, Agostini: On the British Circuits by The Classic MotorCycle editor James Robinson, is a stunning collection of period photographs which captures him in action on racetracks in Britain.

Collated using images from the world-leading Mortons Archive, incorporating the Nick Nicholls collection, this book focuses not on Agostini’s worldwide GP achievements, but looks instead at what happened when he came to the British circuits and raced – not only the TT and Ulster GPs, but the circuits up and down the country.

From the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s, Agostini, or ‘Ago’ to motorcyclists worldwide, was the poster boy of two-wheeled sport, his winning combination of bravery, skill, and style on the machine, coupled with film star good looks off it, leading to huge fame.

Ago and the MV were unassailable for years on end, but arguably the Italian’s greatest achievements came when he fled the comfy nest of the MV camp to sign for Yamaha.

Critics and doubters were quickly silenced as he claimed two world titles for the Japanese firm, including its (and Japan’s) first blue riband 500cc title.

British race fans flocked to see the great man in action when visiting the circuits and he generally didn’t disappoint, racking up wins across the country.

  5. Suzuki has launched a new Service Activated Warranty, which extends a motorcycle’s warranty period after the initial three years through regular servicing at authorised Suzuki dealerships.

The Service Activated Warranty is offered once the motorcycle reaches the end of its manufacturer warranty period of three years, and is booked in for its next scheduled service within the Suzuki Dealer network. This warranty then stays in place until the next qualifying service. It is then simply renewed again, up to a maximum vehicle age of seven years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The Service Activated Warranty is offered to customers completely free of charge.

All major components are covered, and should the machine be sold between services and within the seven-year qualifying period, the warranty will simply be transferred to the new owner.

The Service Activity Warranty can also be enjoyed by owners of secondhand machines, even if any original warranty has expired and if there is a gap in the service history. Providing the new owner has their motorcycle serviced at a Suzuki dealership and goes through a Suzuki Motorcycle Health Check in the first instance, it will benefit from a fresh, one-year warranty.

For these customers, the Service Activated Warranty will begin 30 days from the date the authorised Suzuki Dealer service has been completed.

Denis Houston, Director Aftersales at Suzuki GB, said, “At Suzuki, customer experience and retention are paramount, the launch of Service Activated Warranty will certainly enhance this for the future, ensuring our customers get the best levels of service, fitment of genuine parts and avail of the expertise within our dealer network rather than going to a non-franchised repairer once their manufacturer warranty expires. Offering Service Activated Warranty is free of charge to owners, is unique, and we are very proud to offer this as a strong message in support of our customers.”
