    The Ducati Roadshow will be at Ace Cafe London from 6pm on Friday 25th June with a display and a wide selection of demo bikes from their 2010 range to include the 1198, 848, Multistrada 1200, Monster 696 & 1100,  Hypermotard 796 & 1100, so don't forget to bring along a full driving licence.  Please note that pre-booking is not available.

    St Georges Day Bike Blessing


    Ride to celebrate St Georges Day and have your bike blessed in the grounds of Dunham Hall. In the village there will be music, stalls, food and a bike show. Alll monies raised will go to Manchester Childrens Hospital. All Bikers welcome. The event is run by bikers for bikers!

  3. The Royal National College for the Blind is a leading residential college of further education for people who are blind or partially sighted aged 16 to 65+, based in Hereford. It is a national charity supported by a small fundraising team raising funds to provide equipment and to improve facilities for around 200 people who attend the college each year.

     

    A brand new black Triumph Speed Triple motorcycle has been kindly donated, by Triumph Motorcycles Ltd in order to raffle to raise essential funds. Tickets are only £5 each and the lucky winner will have their incredible prize delivered to them directly by Triumph.

  4. Visit the National BikeSafe Motorcycle show June 12th & 13th
    The 2010 National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show sponsored by the motorcycle industry's campaign 'Get On' gets underway at Sheffield Arena on Saturday 12 June 2010.

    The free event will bring together the best of the motorcycle industry as the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show comes to the north of England for the first time.

    The National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show offers something for all everyone and is a fun day families, friends, couples and anyone who is interested in bikes, even if they don't have a licence.   Attractions already confirmed include stunt rider Dave Coates, the Extreme Globe riders, international trials champion Steve Colley and Ady Smith's KTM off-road experience.

    There will also be the opportunity for every rider to take a free 45-minute ride-out with an advanced police motorcyclist. All riders need to do is come along prepared to ride and bring with them all parts of their motorcycle licence and insurance documents.

    There is also the chance for people to take a ride-out on a manufacturer's bike. Manufacturers already confirmed include Honda, Yamaha, BMW, Kawasaki and Triumph.
    Riders will need a credit card in order to cover any refundable deposit requested by the manufacturer.

    As main sponsors of the show the Get On team will be providing the opportunity for visitors who have never ridden before or who are coming back to riding to have a go in a safe and secure area in the presence of fully qualified instructors.

  5. Stunt rider Craig Jones has secured support from Kawasaki for the 2010 season and his first public appearance on the new green machines will be at the fifth annual RideSafe Rendezvous on Sunday 25th April.

    The free one-day event, organised by RideSafe BackSafe with support from the Highways Agency, will also include stunt performances by Paul Swift Precision Driving (son of Russ Swift), slow riding demonstrations by Merseyside and Lancashire Police and BikeSafe officers plus live music by two local bands.

    Dealerships supporting this year’s event include Hunts Motorcycles and Boom Trikes from Manchester, Preston Harley Davidson, Chorley Yamaha, Philip Youles of Blackburn, Millennium Motorcycles of St Helens and GhostBikes from Preston.

    Honda UK will be appealing to the next generation of riders with their ‘My First Licence’ scheme.

    Aimed at five to 11 year old children, the scheme provides youngsters with a mock-up mini road system, including road markings, signs and other road furniture, to enable them to experience the fun of riding a restricted 50cc motorcycle in a safe environment. Experienced riding instructors look after them constantly and all safety equipment and clothing is provided and fitted before the fun starts. At the end of their first ride, children will be given a personalised licence that replicates the real thing, as well as a RideSafe BackSafe goodie bag.

    The RideSafe BackSafe team, together with BikeSafe, the Highways Agency, IAM riding assessors, BMF, MAG, First Bike on Scene and other industry experts, will be on hand to promote the benefits of voluntary rider training and discuss road safety issues affecting bikers. Young riders in particular will be encouraged to check out the latest and best in protective clothing and body armour.  

    The show will be held at Central Car Parks in Blackpool between 10am & 5pm and both show entry and parking are free.

    Honda’s ‘My First Licence’ experience is free. Participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
