“The first objective has been achieved. We wanted to be fast from the very beginning and try to improve our performance over a single lap. The feeling wasn’t the best today, but we managed to set a good lap time and we have to be satisfied with that. We’ve made a good start, and now we’ll have to work to be competitive again tomorrow. It’s an important end to the season, both to recover physically and to continue improving.”

“I had a small issue with the front brake, which led to this unexpected crash. The impact was hard, but I’m okay, although I’ll need a long physiotherapy session this afternoon. In the end, we managed to make it into Q2, but at least at the moment we’re not competitive enough to stay with the front runners. After this Friday, I have to say that Pedro is definitely one step ahead.”
