“All things considered, it went well: we still have some margin because today I made a few mistakes here and there. There’s definitely work to do in terms of setup because I need to be able to ride without pushing too hard. It’s a circuit that, physically, doesn’t affect me as much as others, so we have an important opportunity to do well. We’ll work on being more precise tomorrow and we’ll definitely find more speed.”

“It was definitely a positive day. The first feeling was good straight away, despite a few too many mistakes on my part. I needed to automate several things and change some habits from SBK: once I managed to do that, I really enjoyed it—it’s a bike with a lot of power. It’s a shame about the afternoon with that yellow flag when we were on a good lap. Little by little I found my style on this bike and in the end, if you enjoy it, you go fast. No specific goals ahead, just definitely keep enjoying it like today.”
