MUGEN’s (M-TEC Co., Ltd.) President: Tomoyuki Hashimoto) today unveiled a brand new machine, the ‘SHINDEN Go’ which will participate in this year’s Isle of Man SES TT Zero race, part of the 2016 Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy.

A number of major changes have been made to the machine including the battery system, motor, and the frame on the new machine which have all been newly developed, based on knowledge gained through the races over the past four years.

Alongside the improved output of the power systems, battery and motor, the cooling system has also been improved in order to access and harness the increased power.

A monocoque type frame has been chosen for optimum lightness and stiffness, and to improve the aerodynamics, while at the same time permitting the battery to be positioned inside the frame.

Cross link rocker rear suspension, designed and manufactured by M-Tec, has been introduced to make space for the huge battery, helping to improve the machine’s responsiveness.

John McGuinness, who has won 23 races at the TT, winning both the SES TT Zero and PokerStar Senior TT classes last year setting a new outright lap record of 132.701mph (17 mins 03.567 secs) as well as posting a new record lap for the TT Zero Class (119.279mph/18’ 58.743), and 10 time TT Race champion Bruce Anstey, who achieved his maiden RST Superbike race win last year, will again represent Mugen as the team attempt’s to win the race for a third successive year.
