  1. Motorcycle Awareness Day - “MAD Sunday”

    Posted on

Motorcycle Awareness Day (MAD) at the Ace is focused on the powered two-wheeled community and is in aid of the charity “SERV”, the voluntary organisation that provide a rapid response courier service, out of hours, delivering blood products to the point of need supporting NHS Hospitals.

Whether you're thinking about taking up riding or if you are a new or experienced rider, and with bikes through the years generally getting faster and sharper, the Ace has teamed up with the experts in road safety and anti-theft protection.

For current and prospective riders, from learner to advanced, and always with Safety First, Motorcycle Awareness Day at the Ace includes the London Fire Brigade advising about Biker Down! - the free nationwide scheme that was devised to provide the tools to help bikers if they're involved in a crash.

Learn how riders can help fight crime – Lock it, tag it or lose it – as well as how to get the best from your bike or scooter. From how to position yourself in traffic to the secrets of staying safe, you will be able to find out about the skills you need to become a better rider. Learn from police motorcyclists who have to know how to ride safely in all weathers, road and traffic conditions and yes, how to go fast at times!

    Posted on

Ace Cafe London and Carl Fogarty are supporting Childline on Sunday 24th April as part of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs’ Ride It & Drive It Day 2022

Carl said “‘Last year people from the Motorbike community came together and helped raise over £40,000 for the NSPCC’s Childline Service by taking part in the annual Drive It Day. For the first time ever we now have our very own Ride It Day. This April, you can buy a Ride It Day Rally Plate for just £10.00 and ride out with friends, or join an organised event, and once again help support vulnerable children and young people across the UK”

Buy a motorbike/car rally plate with 100% of the profit going directly to support local children:

Make a donation here to support Childline:

Post a photograph of your bike/car, displaying your rally plate, to Facebook and Instagram using #Acecafechildline and we’ll pick a worthy winner who will receive a special gift from the Ace!

Ace Cafe London invites all riders and drivers to support the NSPCC’s Childline, so let’s show that we care and do what we can to support Childline

    See you at the Ace!

  5. Christmas Toy Run & Carol Service

    Posted on

    Sunday 19th December - Depart: 10.30am

The cafe's annual Christmas Toy Run will be leaving at 10.30am on Sunday 19th December to visit and drop off presents for vulnerable children and those supported by the charities:

    Sufra – London NW10 0PW

    The Toy Project – London N19 5QU

    Brent Civic Centre – Wembley HA9 0FJ

As a response to COVID-19, and aware that many families with children need help today, the cafes annual Christmas Toy Run is leaving the Ace at 10.30am on Sunday 19th December, to deliver toys to charities helping children and families most in need.  These charities have delivered toys to families living in hostels during lockdown, children with blood disorders shielding at home and to hospitals for presents for the children of all NHS workers,

Ace Cafe  patrons have always shown huge generosity over the years in respect of donating toys for children in hospital over the Christmas period, and we are sure this will  continue to be the case in 2021.

As well as being grateful for anything that you’d like to donate for ages 3- 11, the toys always asked for are:

    LEGO sets
    Arts and crafts sets
    Barbies
    Spider-Man toys
    Cars and planes
    Please bring gifts unwrapped

Because of allergies advice is against stuffed toys and sweets - the charity volunteer staff however may appreciate some sweet treats!

On returning to the cafe, there will be prizes for the "Best Dressed Bike" and the "Best Dressed Rider" - and a hot cuppa

NB: On the morning of the run, all elves, reindeer, Santa’s, snowmen and pixies etc. are asked to please check in at the cafe with “Toy Run Ron”, who once again is kindly looking after the logistics involved with this special occasion.

Later the same day, Sunday 19th December at 7pm, why not join us for the cafe's annual candlelit Christmas Carol Service!
