    Ace Cafe London, hosting the annual Gene Vincent Tribute Night at the cafe on Saturday 8th February, this year celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 1964 release "Shakin' Up A Storm" and features the renowned and highly regarded Graham Fenton and The All Stars, together with DJ Bill Guntrip on the decks.
     
    Graham, who knew Gene, began his rock n' roll career with the Houseshakers, the band that supported and backed Gene on the last leg of his 1969 UK tour. After the Houseshakers, and subsequently the Hellraisers, Graham joined Matchbox to include opening the first concert held at Wembley Stadium, the London Rock n' Roll Show of 1972, and the rest, as they say is history!
     
    The evening includes opportunity to win a range of prizes including two pairs of tickets to attend the cafe's forthcoming rare London appearance of Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers gig on Saturday 8th March along with an Ace 75th anniversary goodie pack and copies of Vintage Rock magazine.

  2. Win Goodies on "Bike Nights" February 2014!

    Welcoming in a wet, windy and cold new year the cafe's Friday "Bike Nights", through February (excepting Valentines night 14.2.14), and on the last Thursday of the month's Harley Night, includes opportunity to win an Ace goodie pack.
     
    Spend £5 or more over the counter from 6pm and receive a raffle ticket. The draws will be held at 10pm:

  3. Ace Cafe News - Win a Night Out with Steve Parrish!

    Ace Cafe London has a pair of tickets up for grabs as a raffle prize to spend an evening with Steve Parrish on his forthcoming "Mad Tour", a funny and informative evening, hosted by his daughter Frankie Parrish, and which opens on 12th February at the Beck Theatre, Hayes, Middlesex, and subsequently on the following dates:

    13th February - Melton Theatre, Melton Mowbray
    20th February - Playhouse Theatre, Harlow
    23rd February - Courtyard, Hereford
    28th February - Bacon Theatre, Cheltenham
    2nd March - The Muni Theatre, Colne

    Steve, currently the BBC commentator for Motor GP, raced at the highest level of motorcycle racing, becoming the British Champion in 1976 and 5th in the 1977 500cc World Championship, his team mate and that year's champion, Barry Sheene is quoted as saying "If he was to set up his bike as well as his victims and had put as much effort into the bike as he did the intricate pranks he pulled on people he would certainly have been a World Champion".

  4. Ace Cafe News - 59 Club Day at the Ace‏

    59 Club Renewal Day with Mick Duckworth

    On occasion of the 59 Club's annual "Renewal" day at the Ace on Sunday 2nd February, author Mick Duckworth will be on hand not only signing copies of the seminal book, "Ace Times - Speed thrills and tea spills, a cafe and a culture", he will also be signing copies of his new book, "Triumph Experimental: Doug Hele and his Development Team 1962 - 75" recently published by Norman Hyde.

    Mick's all new 208 page hard back book, with 165 illustrations, tells for the first time the full story of chief development engineer Doug Hele and his men at Triumph Meriden motorcycle factory and later at the Norton - Triumph research centre.
