Biker Events 2023 | April

Calling all motoring enthusiasts! On the first Sunday of each month* we are running a breakfast club open to all marques. As well as meeting other vehicle owners, participants can chat over a coffee and a hearty breakfast (from a full English to a bacon roll) in Cafe 750. The very popular Museum cafe will be open from 9am. 

An opportunity for vehicle owners to show off their prized possessions at the front of the prestigious Museum.

1066 MCC presents the Worlds Largest Unofficial St Georges Day Parade 

The Worlds Largest Unofficial St Georges Day Parade presented to you by 1066 MCC Birmingham, now in its 18th year.

Below are details for a previous event - 
All bikes, trikes, scooters, cars, trucks, campers, etc are welcome. Steady ride down Shirley high street and then on to the Black Swan in Henley-in-Arden where food and drink will be available. 1066 MCC organised and marshal, with help from other local bikes clubs, The Worlds Largest Unofficial St. Georges Day Parade down the high street in Shirley, Solihul, with fantastic crowds supporting the parade. A family event that is tightly marshalled and they do not stand for any disruption or disrespect on the parade. The parade safely marshalled by nominated bikes in hi-vis jackets and cars.

There will be wrist bands, England flags and other memorabilia on sale before the parade at Nottcutts car park. A fantastic evening out for all the family. The kids can dress up as St. George. Strictly only allow St. Georges flags on parade and stress that this is a patriotic event not a racist one. As always, they welcome people from every age, race, religion and creed. Come and be part of the parade or part of the crowd on Shirley high street.

Glasgow Bike Night   

The Glasgow Bike Nights are back for the 2023 Season! April 27th is the first of 6 monthly Bike Nights.
Us bikers are a social bunch – there’s nothing we love more than getting together, checking out bikes and sharing a story it two. West Coast Harley-Davidson want to support the biking community with Glasgow Open Bike Night. All bikes, trikes and scooters of all eras are welcome to enjoy an evening of live music and general chat at Pit Lane, Hillington Glasgow. 

Open for beverages, clothing and apparel, and the use of the facilities for all those who are visiting.

Asking in advance that if you wish to DRIVE to the bike night that you park away from the Dealership and walk over. This is to provide safe access to Pit Lane for the riders... it's a bike night after all!

The Asian biggest motorcycle event, will celebrate the 27th anniversary in 2023. This event will be the large gathering of motorcyclists, expecting to draw over 10,000 motorcycles, 50,000 visitors from 30 countries to Phuket.

Despatch Rally

The Despatch Rally is an unique motorcycling event. Unlike a show or a ride-out, the aim of this event is to encourage riders to get out and explore Dorset as part of a military themed competition.

TBC for 2023 -
Military sidecar world record attempt, VE75 celebrations, Movie night, live music and all the usual fun...

Over 2 days - Day one is in a single location with a whole host of motorcycle and military related training and games. Day two will be the usual Despatch Rally format for all. Competition with winners announced at BBQ Saturday evening.
In honour the despatch motorcycle riders from whom motorbike culture descended, the riders are set loose to explore the various challenges on their own terms using a map and making individual choices. The Despatch Rally celebrates the union of man and machine and is a great chance to cover some miles in the saddle!

Nostalgic simplicity is the backbone, promoting map reading, communication and celebrating putting pen to paper. The day will consists of a series of challenges and checkpoints based all over Dorset. Scores are allocated to participants and winners are awarded at the finale rendezvous at the end of the day. Activities include Clay-pigeon shooting, Off road course, Motorcycle control course, Dorset-wide reconnaissance challenge following Serviceman’s map, Dorset-wide despatch message collection following Serviceman’s map. 
Participants are issued with a ration ride log and serviceman’s map at the HQ containing key information, it’s then up to participants to plan their day accordingly, some are very competitive and want to do all of the challenges, others like to pick and choose a couple. Despatch Rally HQ will close the day’s events with food, drink, live music, raffle and prize giving.
