VJ Day 75 Run (previously Hastings VE Day Run / Mayday Run)

THIS IS AN OFFICIALLY APPROVED EVENT: Due to the ongoing Corona Virus situation bike1066 have worked closely with the National organisers of the VE Day and VJ Day anniversary celebrations, the local councils and Sussex Police to ensure we still have the biggest FREE to attend motorcycle event in Europe. 

This event has also merged with the BEXHILL MotoFest event that was scheduled for July 26th. 

August 15th is Victory over Japan (VJ) Day and marks the real end of World War II globally. Pending the lifting of emergency travel restrictions and official approval bikers are invited to be a big part of the celebrations with the annual ride from Locksbottom to Hastings becoming a National event. This will also be an opportunity for bikers to show their thanks to our NHS Heroes who are working so hard to keep us safe and well during this Emergency.

The BIGGEST FREE BIKER celebration of VE Day 75 in Europe - 46,000 bikes expected to ride the traditional Mayday Run from Locksbottom in Kent to Hastings (about 60 miles) to honour those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and to celebrate 75 years of peace from victory. A massive family friendly free movement of people united by a love of bikes and biking in all its' forms.

GREAT WELCOME in Hastings with over 70 traders - and every major marque of motorcycle represented by top dealers - great food - great entertainment and a whole lot more. 
Bigger in one day than the Isle of Man TT races in a fortnight. Hastings welcome is 0830 - 1900 - ride the VE Day Run whenever you like - not an organised ride out.

bike1066 is proud to support of Armed Forces Bikers and other veterans charities.

For many years thousands of bikers have visited Hastings every May Day Bank Holiday and now Bike1066 is part of that tradition. In 2013 bike1066 Spring Opener became as big as the world famous Isle of Man TT Races. 32,000 bikes attended bike1066 in one day while an estimated 34,000 attended the Isle of Man TT.

The Bristol Bike Show

The Bristol Bike Show is a free motorcycle show which takes place in and around St Nicholas Market in the City Centre every year.

Bringing a bike to show? There is no need to book in advance, just turn up before 12 on the day, and go to the control point to register. Parking: There is ample free bike parking. Drive to the St Stephens Street entrance and the Bike Show marshalls will direct you to the parking areas. For car parking there are a number of car parks around the city centre.

As well as motorcycle club displays, trade stands and representatives from a range of motorcycle organisations attending there are live bands playing throughout the day. It is an independent event organised by a small group of unpaid volunteers. It is a non-profit making event and relies on trade stands paying a fee, the sponsorship of awards/trophy's by businesses or individuals and donations to cover all of the costs.

Haynes Bikers Breakfast Ride-in 

Calling all biking enthusiasts! On the third Sunday of each month we are running a breakfast ride-in open to all marques. As well as meeting other bikers, participants can chat over a coffee and a hearty breakfast (from a full English to a bacon roll) in Cafe 750. The very popular Museum cafe will be open from 9am. Please do come and join us for a likeminded get-together.

These events are free to attend and are a real opportunity for vehicle owners to show off their prized possessions at the front of the prestigious Museum.

The Banbury Run

Now in its 72nd year, it is the largest gathering (500+) of pre-1931 motorcycles and 3-wheelers in the world. Visitors will be able to see the motorcycles start and finish at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon.

The Banbury Run is aimed at those who enjoy the thrill of riding with other Vintage, Veteran and Pioneer bikes. In addition to the Run, there will also be Club and Trade Stands, 100 Autojumble pitches and special interest displays within the Museum grounds. Camping is also available on the Saturday and Sunday night.

The museum will be open from 9am to 5pm with the Banbury Run beginning at 10am. Riders will start at five per minute.

Annual event - All bikes, trikes and scooters are welcome. A general ride-in kicks off the Event at 10:30am. 

There are Show Bike Competitions, a Rock Band Stage & Variety Stage, Trade Stalls, Food Stalls and Children's Rides. A raffle with a first prize of a restored/converted motorcycle. 

The three charities that will benefit from the money raised from this year's event, are: Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Prostate Cancer UK and Armed Forces Bikers.

Hospice Ride Out

This event will see hundreds of bikers travelling together along a 50 mile route to reach the Hospice. Starting from Smiths Honda, Whitchurch Road, Christleton Chester at 10.30am, you will ride to the mid-point stop at Anderton Boat Lift, Northwich where lunch will be served, and participants can chat and admire the other bikes. From there, you will make your way back to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd where the raffle will be drawn.

BMF Dambuster 5 Rally 

Details to be confirmed...
Designed as a traditional, laid-back camping rally, the BMF Dambuster Rally has become a very special annual motorcycling event.
It’s complete with live music, fantastic food, a commemorative ale, a venue steeped in history and an excellent ride-out. A list of bands will be performing live music on the Friday and Saturday evenings. The rally’s bar will also be selling the ever-popular, specially commissioned Dambusters Black Dog ale once again.

Thorpe Camp Visitors Centre, Lincolnshire is the ideal venue to celebrate the heroic deeds of the famous Dambusters raid in 1943. You can pitch your tents among the historic display planes and World War Two artefacts – and it is situated in deepest Lincolnshire ‘Bomber County’. All of the museum’s buildings will be open for you to explore, as will the NAAFI on Saturday afternoon.

The Old Goats Grumble 6

League Of Zeall Mcc, Derbyshire hold their annual event held in gorgeous Derbyshire countryside, which sells out every year.

Famous for two days of fantastic music covering all genres with a bit of something for everyone. This years bands include Bon Giovi, The Madchester Experience, Surreal Panther, Mystic Crew, Rapture, Blacktop Sliders, DC d DC, ETB, Damn Cargo, All or Nothing, Midnight Shift and Matt Meakin. Also have Amie Alma pole dancing, Tripe Threat Burlesque Girls and Wiz Spencer doing a magic and Freak show.

The Grumble offers over 25 different cask ales, specialist ciders, wines and cocktails at fantastic prices and the food is all home cooked with a fantastic all day menu, offering food for all tastes. Saturday sees the huge paella pan appear for 300 portions of gorgeous Spanish potatoes. There is lots of stalls with a variety of goods to browse for all the family.

All the profits from this event are donated to Laurens Legacy charity. Last years event donated £20K.

Tewkesbury Classic Vehicle Festival

The event features a spectacular display of over 1000 classic vehicles, from the dawn of the motoring era, to pre-war, post-war, American classics, custom cars, hot rods, supercars, motorbikes, those of historic and engineering significance to modern classics.

venue: Tewkesbury School Playing Fields, Ashchurch Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 8DF. Gates open at 9am for display vehicles and 10am for general admission.
price: £7.50. Children under 12 years old go free.
Display Vehicles and Advance Tickets: Classic Cars, Bikes, other Vintage vehicles are priced at £5 per vehicle via online pre-booking (driver included), passengers also £5 (on the gate price £7.50).  
A classic car, or motorcycle display vehicle should be a minimum of 25 years old, or of special interest such as exotic sports cars, rare or very limited production runs, kit cars and anything out of the ordinary.

The Motorcycle Action Group Yorkshire proudly present its last rally of the season, the small yet perfectly formed Yorkshire Pudding Rally. Located just between York and Selby, this rally is in much demand. Always sold out so you need to book sharp if you do not want to miss out. With Bands, DJ's, The Rick Hulse Smacked Arse Comedy show and a Back Street Heroes ride in bike show. Only have bikes and trikes, so No Cars, No Vans, No Pedestrians and No Excuses. This rally is put on by volunteer Bikers for Bikers, In aid of Biking.
