On a working organic farm called Pyllau Gloewen (Shining Pools), it is said that the farm is in an area where early Roman invaders kept their horses. This is quite possible as the Roman fort of Canovium (Caerhun) is just a stone's throw away. Sturdy Welsh mountain sheep and Welsh black cattle are bred here, along with world renowned sheepdogs. This delightfully renovated large barn, has three dorms for 4, 6 and 10, modern washrooms with power showers, large and comfortable lounge area, traditional log fire, fully equipped kitchen, central heating and can accommodate for 20. Camping is also available if needed. Situated close to Betws-y-Coed, Snowdonia National Park and coastal town of Conwy and Llandudno, with two friendly pubs and a restaurant within walking distance. If you fancy a bbq, the very amicable Claudia can supply from the farm Saltmarsh Lamb and Beef and local organic vegetables or get other supplys from the local butchers. Short and long stays. where: Pyllau Gloewen Farm, Tal-y-Bont, Conwy, Gwynedd, LL32 8YX
