Centrally located, just 200 meters from Central Station, this tropical decorated guesthouse, with uniquely decorated rooms, within a typical Amsterdam canal house built in 1777, on the former coastline of Amsterdam. The location is perfect, very close to the train station, close to the centre of Dam, but also just away from the tourist traps so felt like we were in the real Amsterdam. Herberg Godot, Biker Friendly, HX Marrum, The Netherlands In the wonderful quiet country of Friesland, in the north of The Netherlands and close to the Wadden Sea is the village of Marrum. Orginally an infant school, which has been transformed to provide an informal place to stay in good company. Literary types will be interested to learn that the name Godot comes from the play 'Waiting for Godot', from Samuel Beckett and en-suite rooms named Estragon and Vladimir. Also a dormitory with bunk beds for up to 18. Rates from just €25 pppn. A large conservatory where breakfast is taken and where you can relax and enjoy a beverage or two, leads to the lushy gardens with outdoor seating, decked area and pond. Reached by the N357 from Leeuwarden to Dokkum and near to Groningen, Holwerd where the ferry sails to Ameland; one of the Frisian Islands and less than 2 hours to Amsterdam. Biker owned. Free Wi-Fi.
