The hostel has two separate areas for larger groups of up to 40; 16 beds in the main house and 24 in the bunkhouse area, in dorm rooms, with a double and family room available. Facilities include sitting room with log fire, equipped kitchens, dining areas, shower rooms, bbq area, garden, with linen included. In the village of Lewiston, near Drumnadrochit, just a few minutes walk from Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle and within easy distance of Inverness, Glen Affric, Fort William and Ullapool. Open all year. In the heart of the Scottish Highlands, within the Cairngorms National Park, nestling amongst ancient pine forest, offering an eclectic choice of accommodation. A colourful, mountain hut style bunkhouse hostel for up to 8 with two separate sleeping areas. Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, living area with music player, shower room, grocery orders taken for your arrival and a sheltered covered garden with large outdoor table, log fire and BBQ. Also a late nineteenth century cottage, a small campsite and the perfect getaway for two; The Woodman's Hut. Recently constructed, inspired by the woodcutters who lived in this area, with commanding views and a very special place to stay. Great as a base to tour the area, just a mile to a local pub serving food and within a short distance of Grantown-on-Spey and Avimore. A previous guest said "Fab! A hidden Highland gem. Planned our return before we left!" Parking next to accommodation.
