Beckford House B&B

Superb lodge-style self catering and hotel-style accommodation in a tranquil setting just 5 minutes from Junction 20 of the M5, offering easy access to the North, South West and the M4 corridor. Situated in Exford, in a picturesque rural village in the heart of Exmoor National Park (the bridge over the River Exe is considered by many to be the central point) surrounded by breathtaking moorland, woodland and farmland scenery just waiting to be explored. Six, mostly en-suite comfortable bedrooms, a large lounge where you can enjoy a drink, in front of a log fire and chill out, relax in the garden, which overlooks the village green and then take short stroll to the locals hostilleries. There are some excellent roads around Exmoor and so much to do, such as explore some of the very pretty villages and towns and treat yourself to a cream tea, experience the water powered cliff railway between Lynton and Lynmouth, be awestruck at the Valley of the Rocks (pictured), discover the National Trust properties and villages in the area and if you fancy a paddle, head for the beach - Dunster, Minehead, Croyde and Woolacombe! The breakfasts were exactly what we wanted and the atmosphere was homely and lovely".
