The Market town of Hexham, is a short ride away and is steeped in history, with its wonderful 7th century abbey, antique shops and many quality pubs and restaurants. A small friendly relaxed hostel in the village centre of Moretonhampstead, within the atmospheric Dartmoor National Park, popular with bikers, hikers, cyclists and international backpackers. The beautifully converted stone stable, typical of the area and originally the hay loft, sleeps 14 in the comfortable, open plan dorm with full length curtains.
